Price Brothers Management Company-developed AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk in Overland Park, Kan., will open Oct. 26. The multipurpose sports complex will anchor a larger retail, living, dining and entertainment venue. The sports park is envisioned as Kansas City's premier indoor multisport complex and regional sports hub with modern amenities.

Funding for the billion-dollar project is through both private sources and Kansas STAR bonds state incentive program, which are Kansas sales tax revenue channeled toward projects anticipating major visitor traffic. While the total property area covers 277 acres, the sports complex accounts for 420,000 sq. ft.

The sports park's groundbreaking took place in 2022, and construction was completed in two phases. The first phase of the sports complex will include volleyball and pickleball courts, and an indoor turf field for a few different sports such as baseball, football and lacrosse, among others, with a 4,000-seat multipurpose arena.

The venue also boasts one of the area's only NHL/NCAA regulation-size ice sheets and a 1,500-seat ice rink. The project is made possible through a public-private partnership with the city of Overland Park, state of Kansas and Price Brothers. Florida-based sports facility company SF Network has been hired to manage the facility.
