Job Description Summary:
The Parts Counter person will be responsible assisting customers and Anderson branches in fulfilling their specific needs for parts. This will require a thorough understanding of Anderson’s equipment product lines and the parts for each equipment model (make, year, type).
Customer Orders
- Answering calls or emails to determine customer needs or questions; Researching and determining the correct parts needed; Finding the part in Anderson’s warehouses or other locations such as manufacturers or 3rd parties; Arranging for fulfillment of the order, including tracking partial shipments and fulfillment.
Inventory Control
- Maintaining accurate records in Anderson’s computer systems for all inventory.
Parts Selling and Customer Service
- Recommend and sell related items as requested by customer; Understand what components must be sold together to completely satisfy customer needs and maximize AEC's revenues; Handle customer complaints in a professional and friendly manner .
Coordinate with the Service Department
- This is a critical function to ensure technicians have correct parts for work orders.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Work Experience in Parts position at Heavy Equipment, Auto, Parts dealerships;
- Proficiency with computers including preparing looking up inventory parts, preparing tickets for filling orders and shipping;
- Demonstrated knowledge of inventory controls, documentation, filling orders, shipping, receiving;
- Professional communication skills to promote parts sales to customers and to resolve issues.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation depends on location, experience/skills, overtime: $25.00-$32.00 per hour.
