Product Support Sales Position (CE)

Position Overview
The Product Support Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales opportunities for parts, labor, and equipment while helping customers optimize their operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The role involves sharing crucial information within the Construction Division to ensure customers' equipment stays in excellent working condition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the liaison between customers and the Parts and Service Departments.
- Promote customer satisfaction by driving parts and labor sales.
- Assist with job write-ups, monitoring progress, and job closure support for the Service Department.
- Join machine sales reps on machine deliveries to introduce Product Support programs to customers.
- Cold call potential new customers for service-related work (both Volvo and non-Volvo).
- Promote OEM parts, filters, fluids, G.E.T., and hoses to both current and new customers.
- Maintain clear communication between customers and the Service Department on work-in-progress.
- Oversee approvals, estimates, quotes, or proposals, ensuring accurate start/completion dates and clear customer expectations.
- Review the work schedule daily with the Service Department to discuss WIP priorities, parts deliveries, and deadlines. Keep customers informed about completion dates.
- Manage work orders that exceed initial estimates or quotes.
- Compile data for reports and assist with special projects as needed.

- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient with computers and various software programs.
- Willingness to develop skills in performance management, negotiation, leadership, problem-solving, and motivation.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure while delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines with high attention to detail.
- Familiarity with repair requirements and inventory management.
- Willingness to learn and grow in marketing and business development.
- Ability to manage time effectively and maximize customer interactions.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Ability to sit for long periods.

- Occasional movement across uneven terrain.
- Ability to read paperwork, files, and computer records.

- Ability to bend and file paperwork.
- Frequent walking and moving about, including through uneven terrain.
- Good hearing for communication by radio, phone, and in-person.
- Ability to bend or stoop as needed.
- Ability to climb in and out of equipment.
Education and Experience
- Previous experience with construction-related machinery is preferred.
- Must be computer literate.
- Mechanical experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; related experience may substitute for formal education.
