Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, and Wisconsin. This position will be based out their home office within the territory. Preferred home office locations are in Illinois, Wisconsin, or Missouri.

Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and distributors, identifying new business opportunities, and managing the sales process from initial contact to final delivery. This role requires extensive travel within the assigned territory (50-75%) and a proactive, customer-focused approach to sales. This is a base salary plus commission position.
Key Responsibilities
· Build and maintain relationships with customers and distributors in the assigned territory.
· Manage the distributor network by maintaining agreements, forecasts, and reports, providing sales and product updates, coordinating promotions, and supporting marketing efforts.
· Manage the sales process, from quoting to delivery, and collaborate with internal teams for post-sale support.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, industry research, and participation in trade shows and dealer events.
· Maintain a thorough understanding of company products and services, educating customers on features that best fit their needs.
· Utilize Contact Resource Management (CRM) software to log calls, track demos, maintain a recontact schedule, and update prospect information.
· Monitor competitor products, industry trends, and market changes affecting the business.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of over-the-road sales experience in the truck equipment or related industry.
Distributor Management: Preferred experience in setting up and managing a distributor network.
Sales Skills: Strong ability to ask for and close sales.
Customer Focus: Relationship-driven approach to ensure customers receive the best product for their needs.
Self-Motivation: Ability to plan and schedule daily activities to maximize selling potential.
Work Ethic: A "dig in and do it" attitude.
