How You Would Contribute:
Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour DOE
The HR Safety Specialist will help ensure a safe and compliant work environment. In this role, you will collaborate with various departments to implement safety protocols, conduct safety training, and support the development of safety policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety regulations, workplace health, and employee training, as well as experience in risk assessment and injury prevention.
- Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety programs in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA).
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Coordinate and facilitate employee safety training sessions, covering emergency procedures, injury prevention, and safe work practices.
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Work with HR and management to address employee safety concerns and improve workplace safety culture.
- Ensure all safety records are properly maintained, including incident reports, safety audits, and training records.
- Stay up-to-date on industry safety standards and regulations and assist in updating safety policies as needed.
- Process and manage all workers' compensation and auto claims from start until closure.
- DMV pull for drivers (MVR)
- Administer LOA and other leave requests. Coordinate with HR, payroll, and benefits teams to process leave-related benefits and pay accurately.
- Assist with other HR functions as needed
- Perform miscellaneous-related duties as required and assigned by the manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in an HR safety role or a similar position.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements.
- Experience in developing and conducting safety training programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
