Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Fleet Supervisor in Richmond, Virginia. The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for responsible for day-to-day management of fleet operations, overseeing maintenance and repair of company vehicles in most cost-effective and efficient manner; ensuring company vehicles are registered and licensed to operate in locations where company conducts business. Seeking candidates with Previous fleet management experience. Minimum of two years supervisory experience. High school graduate or GED equivalent
Requirements for the Fleet Supervisor position include:
- Must be a self-starter, goal-oriented, and self-managing.
- Must be a strong communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
- Must have excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize competing demands while meeting deadlines.

- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Products, web-bases systems, and researching on internet.
- Must be able to explain and demonstrate applied methodologies in life-cycle costing of fleet assets.

Physical requirements must be met for the Fleet Supervisor job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear.
