Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring Supply Chain Administrator in Richmond, Virginia. The Supply Chain Administrator is responsible for determining ancillary equipment needed to complete packages, ordering the equipment, and ensuring the package is complete prior to shipping to job site. The individual in this role will work directly with allied vendors to obtain quotes and issue purchase orders and perform data management for equipment, including providing reports to management as needed. Seeking candidates with previous experience in supply chain or procurement. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, but not required.
Requirements for the Supply Chain Administrator position include:
- Knowledge of supply chain process, including procurement and inventory management.
- Must possess ability to analyze and evaluate data for asset levels, assignments, and required shipping dates.
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must have an attention to detail.
- Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Must be able to positively interact with supervisor and to understand problems and concerns relating to parts.
- Must be able to be self-directed, organized and able to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Strong PC skills and the ability to self-develop and adapt to changing technology.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
